Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead: DDSL

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and it is amongst the most important things we do. If our pupils do not feel safe, they will not learn. We will endeavour to provide a safe and welcoming environment where children are respected and valued.

The name of the academy’s Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is Sarah Johnson. They can be contacted via the academy office or using safeguarding@medeshamstedeacademy.org 

We have the following staff who are also responsible for overseeing safeguarding across the school:

• Nic Maker (Assistant Principal and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead)
• Tanya Briggs (Pastoral Learning Mentor and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead)
• Zoe Lockwood (Family Support Worker and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead)
