Rhia has worked with autistic young people in specialist schools for the past 10 years, developing extensive experience across a range of roles. Beginning her career as a Science Teacher, Rhia went on to take on curriculum and phase lead responsibilities before joining Medeshamstede Academy in June 2025.

Alongside her leadership responsibilities, Rhia is deeply passionate about relational practice, focusing on building trusting and nurturing relationships with young people. Mrs B Houghton – Assistant Principal

Becky has been teaching for over 25 years, working in both mainstream and special schools for autistic students in Cambridge, Germany and London before making Peterborough her home. Becky first became interested in special education while teaching autistic children in mainstream schools and quickly discovered how rewarding it was to support their learning and development. Becky is passionate about helping all children reach their full potential by offering a variety of experiences both in school and out in the wider community. Outside of school, Becky spends a lot of time with her son, who is a keen footballer, so you’ll often find her cheering from the sidelines or watching their favourite team together. When Becky gets the chance, she also loves being creative through painting and making my own art pieces.
